Hexapod

By maho - Posted on 28 October 2008

This is where I'll put some hopefully interesting stuff I find in my attempts to build myself a hexapod from scratch, I guess time will tell if I succeed or not, and please keep in mind that I'm neither an electrical engineer or a developer so I'm pretty much guessing my way to world domination :)

So far you can find the schematics for a single leg controller and the "controller" that is supposed to keep track of the different leg controllers (so far in theory only) and as a small note to the schematics I've noticed that I made a few mistakes while drawing them, so in other words the current schematics are wrong.

Materials used so far.
3 HI-311.. servos will be using HI-322HDs instead for this project since my supplier has discontinued the 311's
2 PIC16f628a
some capacitators and resistors and other useful stuff, will complete this list later..

Project status as of 2/7/2009
Got a first version of the servo controllers software written in picBasic pro.
I must have under estimated the strength of the servos as they ripped my leg model apart, the only good thing is that I already have made a copy of it
