Connecting kOrganizer to Exchange 2007 (calendar) using webdavs(SSL)
Connecting kOrganizer to a Exchange 2007 server over SSL can be a bit tricky if the Exchange administrator has enabled forms based authentication which he probably has..
To be able to connect kOrganizer to Exchange when forms based authentication is used you need to either have access to the exchange server or have a friendly admin nearby.
On the exchange server disable forms based authentication for the /exchange alias go to the IIS admin console on the fronend server and export the exchange virtual directory, trun formsbased authentication back on for the /exchange alias in the Exchange management console.
Back to the IIS console, import the virtual directory that we just exported and when prompted chose a new name for it, try browsing to that virtual directory using any browser but konqueror, konqueror and kOrganizer uses the same coockies/session thingies so using konqueror will make things a bit more confusing. When confirmed that there is no forms based authentication on the virtual directory start kOrganizer.
In kOrganizer chose to add a new resource and select Exchange 2000 server.
Dont know about the authentication fields there they seem to be useless but I used the internal name of the exchange server and gave it my credentials anyway..
Mailbox URL is what we need to change it should look something like webdavs://exchange.server.com/[newVDIR]/myusername/Calendar click OK and kOrganizer should be connected. You might need to restart kOrganizer since it seems to cache everything.. :)
